Privacy Policy

WorldSimulator is operated by a sole proprietor ("the operator", "we"). This policy describes what personal data the service collects and how it is used. The short version: we collect only what is needed to run your account and meter AI usage, we do not run advertising or third-party tracking, and your ambassador conversations stay in your own browser.

1. Data we collect

When you sign in with Google OAuth through Supabase, we store your email address and display name. To operate the credit system, we also store your credit balance and a transaction ledger recording token counts per AI request. That is the full extent of the account data we keep on our servers.

2. AI features and your conversations

When you use AI features (ambassador chats, what-if scenario simulations, comparisons), the messages and scenario inputs you submit are sent to Anthropic's API for processing to generate a response. Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, API inputs and outputs are not used to train models. Your conversations with ambassadors are stored in your own browser (localStorage), not on our servers — clearing your browser data deletes them, and we cannot recover them for you.

3. Payments

When purchases are available, they are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record — Lemon Squeezy is the seller of the credits and handles all payment data under its own privacy policy. We never receive your card number. We receive only what is needed to credit your account, such as confirmation that a purchase completed.

4. Cookies and local storage

We use only authentication cookies (your Supabase session) and localStorage for preferences and conversation history. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies of any kind.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. It is shared only with the service providers required to run the app: Supabase (authentication and database hosting), Anthropic (AI request processing), and Lemon Squeezy (payments, when purchases are available). We may disclose data if required by law.

6. Retention and deletion

Account data (email, display name, credit balance, transaction ledger) is retained while your account exists. To delete your account and its data, email me@joelint.com from the address on the account. Conversation history in localStorage is under your control and can be cleared from your browser at any time.

7. Your rights

You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing me@joelint.com. Because we store so little, these requests are usually simple to fulfil.

8. Changes and contact

If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date above and, where reasonable, notify you in the app. Questions about privacy can be sent to me@joelint.com.
